This presentation highlights the collections, services, and resources available at the Library of Congress to assist with genealogical research. Topics include the size and scope of the Library's collections, a brief history of the Library, basic research methods, how to search the online catalog, and the digital collections that you can use for free from home.

Candice Buchanan is a reference librarian with the Library of Congress specializing in local history and genealogy. She works with patrons to develop research strategies, locate records, and get the most out of these records to tell their ancestors' stories.
