Our special interest groups give members opportunities to explore specific areas of genealogy in a small, collegial setting. New groups form periodically, depending on interest. Explore the options below and contact us if you are interested.
FOR MEMBERS: The writing group meets on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. at the NVGS Library.
Group members each bring a story they have written about an ancestor, an incident in their own history, or other family history topic. Each person reads the story to the group. Members don't critique each other's stories, but do comment on what they like about them.
FOR MEMBERS: Our dedicated library workers meet at the NVGS Library on most Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They work on many special projects, including cataloging new acquisitions and archival work.
The team can always use help, so volunteers can choose one Wednesday or several to work on interesting projects! Call the library phone, (707) 252-2252, if you are interested in being a volunteer.
