Ask-A-Genealogist

Members: Do you have a brick wall or other research challenge? Our Ask-A-Genealogist team is ready to help!

Chris Burditt, NVGS member and former math professor at Napa Valley College, is leading a team of fellow members who are happy to share their expertise. These experienced volunteer researchers are ready to field questions from members seeking to jumpstart their genealogical research.

Here's How It Works:

• Email your question to Chris: Research@NapaGenSoc.org.
• Chris will contact you to learn more, offer help, and suggest resources. This might involve a meeting at our Library. 
• If your request matches the expertise of a specific volunteer on the team, Chris will consult with the volunteer and, as appropriate, connect you with him/her for further help. 
• Note: Ask-A-Genealogist requests are intended to be short, focusing on a specific genealogical question or approach. This is not a comprehensive genealogical service, such as building whole lines or entire trees. For broader questions and inquiries, visit our Research Services page.
