Topic: How Does Your Garden Grow?

  • Do you have ancestors who made a living in agriculture or nursery work?
  • Was there someone who loved to garden or display flowers in their home?
  • Did you inherit a "green thumb?"

Join us this May Day to share stories about our ancestors who lived by working the land, always had their hands in the dirt, or simply loved flowers. As always, the Round Table is a chance to honor our ancestors and get to know each other through our family histories.

Hosts: Mark & Sally Perkins

May Day is a European festival of ancient origins marking the beginning of summer, usually celebrated on 1 May, around halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. Traditions include gathering wildflowers and green branches, weaving floral garlands, crowning a May Queen, and setting up a Maypole.
